THE LINER NOTES

Putting aside the fact that it's a pickup album comprised of classic tracks previously released, 'Songs My Mother Wrote is, in many ways (twelve to be precise) nothing less than a historical record -- pun intended.
Featuring a baker's dozen of legendary writer and Mom Liz Anderson's best, including "Be Quiet, Mind", "Too Many Dollars, Not Enough Sense", and "If I Kiss You (Will You Go Away)", each track reminds us anew of the sheer and simple brilliance of her talent as a lyricist, and of the natural ease with which Lynn approaches and performs each; her voice the hand to her Mother's glove.
The only problem with this package? That it's not a double set.

Timeless and classic...a must for the Lynn Anderson fan.
